Thank you so much for making our event such a delight. The feedback was terrific. You were able to engage our group well and appreciate your passion for wine.
- B.M. (D.C.)
The information was enjoyable and more thorough than most. I really appreciated that the wines were tailored to my tastes and I was able to taste/learn about specific regions. The wines were great and I'll be purchasing them again for home consumption.

"My only regret in
life is that I did not drink more wine"
- Ernest Hemingway
My genuine interest in wine began in 2013 and hasn't let up since! I started hosting "wine nights" for my friends and quickly realized that for me, wine was becoming more than just a hobby.
A year after moving to D.C. for a job at a local university in 2017, I decided to jump into the food & beverage industry. In 2018 I received my Level 1 Court of Master Sommelier (CMS) Certificate and my first restaurant job as a Host/Reservationist at a Michelin-star restaurant in D.C. In 2019 I passed the WSET Level 3 exam (w/Merit) and was promoted to Wine Director of the Jefferson Hotel D.C.
I am currently a WSET Level 4 Diploma (DipWSET) candidate and plan to take the CMS Level 2 exam, along with numerous other wine-related classes and courses to further my education.
I created The Social Somm as a means of combining my two passions: event planning and wine! My hope is to create experiences that help others fall more deeply in love with wine, one sip at a time.
